What is my Christmas wish? A nice warm bed, a family to share my kisses with, a special treat wrapped under the tree. This is the hope of every dog and cat spending their days and nights in a kennel at the shelter. We asked our new spokesdog Blockhead for his holiday wish and here is what he had to say. “I just want to spend my senior years being loved by my person. I keep getting overlooked because I am no spring chicken, but I have a lot of personality, and I am wise beyond my years. I am house-trained, know all my basic commands and I also have a few tricks up my sleeve. I have been in this noisy shelter for so long that I would just love to be someone’s one and only and spend my days in quiet relaxation. If you are retired and looking for a companion to share your time with, please visit me at the shelter and I could be your wish too.” Even though Blockhead is one of the shelter’s longtime residents, he has not given up hope that his person will come and find him.
