Celebrate Minority Health Month with Us on April 26th, 2024!
In recognition of April as Minority Health Month, the Burlington County Health Department and Human Services warmly invite the entire community to our 3rd Annual Housing and Health Resources Fair, Bring Health Home. This special event, open to everyone, aims to honor the significance of Minority Health Month by providing a range of health and housing resources, activities, and services designed to support, educate, and uplift our diverse community. Join us at the Burlington County Human Services Facility for a day dedicated to promoting health equity and wellness!

Family Fun Activities

Gear up for a day filled with excitement, entertainment, and educational opportunities for attendees of all ages:

Free Food: Enjoy a delicious meal from local food trucks.
Dance Classes: Participate in Latin dancing and line dancing to burn some calories.
Entertainment: Experience engaging activities designed to entertain the whole family.
Health and Housing Resources

Our fair goes beyond fun; it’s a vital opportunity to access essential resources and services:

Rental Assistance: Discover programs aimed at supporting stable housing.
Mortgage Assistance: Learn of and qualify for, NJ Homebuyers Assistance programs.
Utility Assistance: Get information on assistance with your utility bills.
Free COVID Vaccines: Protect yourself and your loved ones with a free COVID vaccine. Pfizer vaccine will be available to anyone 6 months or older.
Health Screenings: Benefit from free health screenings, including:
Virtua Mobile Screening Van: Offering mammograms along with optional cervical and colorectal screenings available. For more information on eligibility and to make an appointment please call 856-247-7388.
Lead screenings: Free consumer product analysis to test household items for lead and finger-stick blood lead testing for children ages 1 to 6.
Lead is toxic, especially in young children. When lead is breathed in or swallowed, it can effect the brain & nervous system. Lead can be found in common household items such as lead-based paint, water pipes, antiques, ethnic spices, jewelry, toys, makeup, cookware, and traditional home remedies.
Other screenings include: blood pressure checks, glucose, and plenty of valuable health education on prevention and reduce your risk for chronic diseases.
