Department of State’s Annual Report Now Available
Earlier in the month, the New Jersey Department of State (DOS) announced the release of its 2023 Fiscal Year Annual Report, which underscores the department’s dedication to enhancing democracy, fostering economic growth, preserving rich history, celebrating arts and culture and supporting diverse communities throughout the state.

Recently, Governor Tahesha Way signed two bills promoting small business growth and economic opportunity in New Jersey. The first bill requires the New Jersey Department of Treasury, in partnership with the New Jersey Business Action Center (BAC), to host an “Annual Business Matchmaking Event” to connect small businesses with federal, state and local government agencies and contractors. The second bill requires the NJBAC to establish a mentorship program, matching seasoned business entities with experience in particular areas alongside emerging or less experienced businesses seeking insight. The pair of bills advance the mission and success of the NJBAC, with a crucial focus on the growth of minority, women and veteran-owned businesses.
