Volunteers will meet at VFW Post 2692 – 199 South Ave – Mt Holly, NJ, to place flags on our Veterans’ gravesites. All volunteers will be assigned local cemeteries for flag placement. About 1500 flags will be placed on the graves of interned Veterans in Mount Holly, Westampton, and Hainesport cemeteries. This is a volunteer opportunity for students, military or others needing community volunteer credits.
We will place about 1500 flags on the graves of interned Veterans in Mount Holly, Westampton, and Hainesport local cemeteries of our men and women who served in the U.S. military. Please help us honor them with a flag at their grave for Memorial Day. You will be walking over uneven cemetery roads and grounds. Please wear comfortable footwear and watch your step! There is no alternate rain date for inclement weather. Please dress accordingly.
