Sound the Alarm was a great success! We extend our gratitude to Mount Holly Fire District No.1 volunteers, Mt Holly Town Council, and the American Red Cross, as well as to Administrator Lee Eckart, Mayor Chris Banks, and Historian Carl Shaw.
Through a joint effort, Administrator Eckart organized an event and initiated a great partnership with the Red Cross on Saturday, May 4th, during the Sound the Alarm Event.
On Saturday, the joint task force reached the doorsteps of 1,200 residents. Teams spoke to 208 residents who answered their doors about fire safety. They installed 131 smoke alarms and 58 CO alarms in 67 homes over the course of 4 hours.
It truly takes a village, and our community received invaluable support. Please stay tuned for more events that the Red Cross will be holding in the near future along with your Mount Holly Volunteer Fire Department.
